If your instructor asks for a primary nursing research article they are looking for article in which the author did original research.

When searching in the databases be sure that you are searching for Peer-reviewed or Scholarly Articles.  If you can narrow your search down to Research Articles.

When you are looking at an article look for:

  • An Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions
  • References
  • Tables of data
