What is Yuja?

Yuja is a video recording and storage tool provided to you by the University. It allows you to:

  • Record/edit video from your computer camera
  • Record your screen
  • Store video that you recorded or found on YouTube, Vimeo and other locations
  • Share videos with links
  • Embed videos into Moodle
NOTE: Although you may see it mentioned in training videos, our subscription does not allow for video conferencing.

How can you use Yuja?

Video Content Management

Store commonly used videos and other digital assets in a single location making it easier for you and your students to find.

Lecture Capture

Record your class so that students can watch it later for review.

Host a Hybrid Class and Invite Remote Guests

Host a class where some of the students, or a guest lecturer, can sign in and interact with the class from a remote location via Zoom.

Flipping the Classroom

Record your lectures outside of the classroom. Have your students watch the lecture outside of class so that you can have discussions and time to work on assignments in class

Video-based assignments and Student Recording

Created video-based assignments and quizzes.

Video Accessibility and Closed Captioning

Record lectures and classes and upload them to Yuja. Yuja will add video captioning to make your videos more accessible
