Ask the Library: Reference

You have 2 options for including a Kanopy Video in Moodle:

1. Link to the video 
2. Embed the video 

Linking to the Video

1. In Kanopy, navigate to video that you want to share
2. Select Share from the menu located under your video
3. Copy the URL provided
4. In Moodle, choose to Add an Activity or Resource
5. Choose to add a URL
6. Name your link and paste in the URL from Kanopy
7. Add the link to Moodle

Embedding the Video in Moodle

Rather than linking out to the video, you can have it play in Moodle

1. In Kanopy, navigate to video that you want to share
2. Select Share from the menu located under your video
3. Choose the Embed option
4. Select and Copy all of the HTML provided
5. In Moodle, choose to Add an Activity or Resource
6. Choose to add a Label
7. From the Label editing screen choose to Show Advanced Buttons
8. Click on the double carat <>
9. Paste in the HTML that you copied from Kanopy
10. Save it!

Students should now be able to play the video directly from Moodle
