Google Trends and Google Ngram both look at word frequency over time for google searches and google books, respectively. JSTOR is linked to a text analysis tool called Constellate, which also has a tool to analyze word frequency over time. If you click on the Build button, it will give you a sample dataset, which you can modify using your own terms. It may ask you to create an account for JSTOR, which you can do by linking your DU student gmail account to JSTOR.
