In print, check out:
- The New Interpreter's Bible
- The Anchor Bible Dictionary
- The Encyclopedia of Religion
- The New Catholic Encyclopedia
Also search the catalog using the keywords Gospel and John.
Keep in mind that information that you want may show up as a section or a chapter of a book and might not show up in the catalog search. Keep an eye out for books, that might not be exactly what you are looking for, but might have the info.
Also check out the Religion databases. Once you have some information and keywords from the print resources you'll be ready to search the databases more effectively.
