Ask the Library: Reference

My first question would be: "What do you want to know about carbohydrates?"  Are you interested in diet, chemistry, metabolism, etc.?

I can suggest some databases:

• ScienceDirect
• CINAHL
• ProQuest Nursing
• PubMed

Some Tips:

1. Write down some key words that interest you about carbs (e.g. diet, nutrition, chemistry, hypoglycemia) and incorparte them in your search
2. Check out the "Thesaurus" or "Subjects" for a database.  For CINAHL you see "CINAHL Headings" at the top of the screen.   Look here for some keywords and subject ideas.
3. Have a topic question about Carbohydrates (i.e. what do you want to know about them?)
