According to the MLA Handbook:

An entry for a film usually begins witht eh title, italicized, and includes the firector, the distributor, the year of release, and the meduim consulted.  You may include other data taht seem pertinent -- such as the names of the screenwriter, performers, and producer -- between the title and distributor.

Example:

It's a Wonderful Life. Dir. Frank Capra. Perf. James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, and Thomas Mitchell. RKO, 1946. Film.
