Q. I set up discussion boards in my class but can't figure out how to grade them. I also want to know how to set the gradebook up so that students

From the instructor's will see everyone's grade however when students log in and look at the gradebook they will only see their grade and course analytics (if you have that visible for them).

As for adding a discussion to the gradebook...

Once you have a Discussion in place you need to do a little editing...

1. Open up the Discussion that you've set up. Look for the 3 vertical dots on the right side. Open up the menu and choose Edit
   
2. Scoll down to the Options and check off Graded
   
3. Scroll down a little further to fill out Points Possible, Display Grade As, and Assign it to a group if your have groups and weighted assignments set up
4. Lastly add in your due dates
5. Save it!
6. Once you publish the Discussion it will show up in the gradebook
