Unfortunately, we can't move students to a manually created course. All these courses and student enrollments are fed into Canvas via Colleague. The better solution is to migrate your course materials from the manually created course into the system generated course:
- go into your Bio-5100 course and look for the Import Existing Content button on the right side of your screen
- Choose to copy a Canvas Course
- Search for your manually created course, choose to import all of the content, and add it to the import queue
Once you've added to the queue you'll see a progress bar showing the import. It should only take a few minutes. Once you're done you may have to do some cleanup work as the imported content won't overwrite already existing content.
