MARINet is a consortium of Dominican University's Alemany Library and all 17 public libraries in Marin County. Your student ID/library card can be used not only at the university's library, but is also valid at any of the public MARINet libraries located throughout Marin. With certain exceptions, library patrons can borrow items from any MARINet library and return them to any MARINet library. Schedules, fees and policies do differ among individual libraries.
With a "My MARINet" account you can:
- View your checked out items and due dates
- Renew items
- Place and cancel holds
- Pay library fines online
- Change your email address
- Save and view your Checkout History
- Save Favorite Searches
- Get or change your PIN
- Rate your favorite library items
How to Register your account in MARINet
You can register both your Penguin Pass card and a MARINet library card:
- Start at the MARINet catalog and choose: Log In/My Account in the upper right corner, then choose: Log In/Register
- Enter your library card number for MARINet or use the 14-digit number underneath the barcode on your Penguin Pass (NOTE: Use the 14-digit number underneath the barcode on the back of your Penguin Pass; it starts with 23645...)
- Leave the PIN field empty
- Choose Submit
- On the next screen retype your library card number again and enter a PIN in both the New Password (PIN) boxes
- Choose Submit
This will give you access to your library account online.
