Q. Can I check out a book from your library if I am not a student or faculty member?
Hello,I am a sophomore at Marin Catholic and I am writing a formal research paper for my Honors Western Civilization class. One requirement of the paper is to go to a library and check out a book that can be used for our research. My teacher said that our best luck in finding great resources is your Dominican University library. Is it possible for me to check out a book from your library even if I don't attend the university? I also don't have a library card, will I need one to check out a book from your library? I am supposed to have a book on my subject by Tuesday. If there is a way I can check out a book then please let me know. Thank you!- Olivia Furano
Yes, the general public can check books out from Dominican. You first need to get a public library card from your Marin County town's public library, or bring a parent's library card, with their permission.
